  4. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or inconsequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Prize Draw or accepting or using any Prize, including without limitation non-receipt of any Prize or damage to any Prize in transit.
  5. Each entry must be entered in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Survey, General Prize Draw and Extra Prize Draw, each Entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  6. The Promoter may at its total and absolute discretion refuse to award any prize to any Entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
  7. The Promoter values genuine and real responses to the Survey and as such will not accept entries that are not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. All relevant instructions on the Promoter’s survey page form part of these Terms and Conditions.

Developer Survey, General Prize Draw and Extra Prize Draw

  1. The Survey opens on Nov 19th, 2019 and is set to close on Jan. 17th 2020 (“Survey Period”).
  2. Entry for the Survey, General Prize Draw and Extra Prize Draw is subject to the entrant completing the core questions of the Survey, completing the questions in one or more of the 8 Areas of Interest of the Survey and providing a valid email address (the “Entrant”).
  3. Any entry received after the closing date will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries. The Promoter reserves the right to extend or reduce the Survey Period, at any time during the survey.
  4. The General Prize Draw and the Extra Prize Draw will be held approximately 4 weeks after the close of the Survey.
  5. Once the Prize Draw has taken place, within 30 working days after the end of the Survey, the Promoter will announce the winners by publicizing a non-identifying portion of each Prize Draw Winner’s email address, as well as their stated country where they are based, information which will be listed on the SlashData website(s) and/or email communications.
  6. Individual emails will be sent to winners giving them 10 working days to claim their Prize.
  7. If a winner responds back more than 10 working days after receiving their winner’s email, they will not be able to claim their prize.
  8. If prizes are not claimed within 10 working days, runners-up will be given the opportunity to claim the prize.
  9. At least 30 working days from the date of the acceptance of the Prize by the Entrant should be allowed for the delivery of the Prize.
  10. Entrants can only enter and claim once for both the General Prize Draw and each Extra Prize Draw.
  11. Employees or family members of employees of the Promoter or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation are not eligible for entry into any of the Prize draws.
  12. The Survey, the General Prize Draw and the Extra Prize Draw are open only to persons involved in Mobile, Desktop, Internet of Things, Augmented/Virtual reality, Machine learning & Data science, Web, Backend/Cloud, and Gaming software development. The Promoter will check and remove responses from Entrants who the Promoter believes are not involved in the above software development areas without providing notice. Only persons who are involved in the above software development areas are eligible to enter any of the Prize Draws (General and Extra) described in the Terms and Conditions.
  13. The Survey is broken down into eight Areas of Interest (mobile, IoT, desktop, machine learning, augmented/virtual reality, web, backend software and gaming), and an Entrant can enter all Areas of Interest, subject to sufficient knowledge to be able to complete the Survey section appropriately.
  14. Entrants are eligible to the General Prize Draw if they have completed the initial set of questions addressed to all participants, regardless of their specialization.
  15. The Extra Prize Draw is available to Survey Entrants who complete the initial set of questions of the Survey and progress to complete one or more of the 8 Areas of Interest of the Survey.
  16. Once an entrant enters an Area of Interest of the Survey, the entrant will be prompted to select a Prize, and they will be entered into the Extra Prize Draw for a chance to win it.
  17. When the entrant completes that Area, they are notified on the validation of their participation to the specific Extra Prize Draw. The Extra Prize Draw is in addition to the General Prize Draw and Referral Program Prizes.
  18. While Members are entered into all Draws, they can only win one Prize from the General Prize Draw or Community Prize Draw and may also win additional prizes from the Extra Prize Draws.
  19. The Developer Survey General Prize Draw and the Extra Prize Draw are not related to the Referral Program Prizes or the Community Prize Draws.
  20. If the Prize (or an element of the Prize) is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or an element of the Prize) for a Prize of equal or greater value. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the Prize and Prize supplier’s requirements.
  21. Please note that it is not always possible for the Promoter to provide Prizes to individuals who are located outside of the European Union. In these instances, the Promoter will provide a substitute to the Prize (or an element of the Prize) for a Prize of equal or greater value. The Promoter is not responsible for Customs, Tax charges or any other costs that may arise in order for the individual to take receipt of the Prize.
  22. If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter’s conduct of the Survey Prize Draw or the Promoter’s ability to deliver the Prize/s to the prize winner/s of the Survey, the Promoter may, in its discretion, cancel the Survey Prize Draw and recommence it at another time under the same conditions or select another winner.
  23. Each Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the Prize as stated.
